I had a problem with squirrels in my roofspace - they were living under a converted loft floor. Having read the reviews I bought one of these traps and set it outdoors using a Snickers bar as the bait. Half an hour later I caught my first squirrel. They obviously like Snickers as it had eaten the lot. There's no point buying a more expensive version of this product - it works really well.
It's well designed too, with a protective plate to stop the squirrel from nipping your fingers when you pick up the cage to transport it. I was able to release the squirrels unharmed in a nearby wood.

Caught the first one in the time it took to boil the kettle ! Another 5 followed over the next week. Also used it at father-in-laws where they had chewed through 3 electric cables in his loft and shredded half a sheet of flooring ! Two caught there.
Easy to use, humane and tail friendly.
I used bird peanuts.
Well worth the money.
( I know it is illegal to release them, but DEFRA recommends you put them in a sack and dispatch them with a blunt instrument).
Mine live to fight another day .....
Rating: - SERIAL TRAPPER
Although at first glance the Big Cheese looked small cheese it trapped my troublesome squirrels without causing them any injury, e.g. no trapped tail. It was unbelievably simple to use and trap the squirrels. I had fear of them bashing their way out of the cage when trapped, but the strong spring loaded door was always secure and held it's contents. I highly recommend this product, especially at the price of £16 including p&p, it's pound cheaper than any of its rivals. I trapped 6 squirrels, who had invaded my loft, within a 10 day period.

In response to the review which mentions relocation, it is illegal to release a trapped grey squirrel into the wild.

I bought this as the reviews sounded promising.Got the trap last week and last night i caught my first squirrel.I think there are 2 more and i hope to have the same success.Humane and user friendly.
