I bought the Panasonic SD255 breadmaker on the strength of the Amazon reviews, together with recommendation from friends and it's definitely been one of my best kitchen buys, I just love it. In previous years I have read that people buy breadmakers in response to 'hype' and they are quickly banished to the back of the cupboard. Not this one though, I can't see me ever buying bread from the shop/supermarket again. I don't even put it away in a cupboard, but keep it out on the worksurface in my utility ... Read More

Having read all the various reviews I decided on balance to buy the SD255. Breadmaking wise it is without doubt brilliant and I have produced eight different loaves baked to perfection. The only skill required is the ability to accurately measure the ingredients and press a few buttons. I love it.

I've had bread makers before and I must say I was already pleased. All top brands and worked just fine. However, this one is really on top of it, it's very simple and always makes great bread.

I received this bread maker a week ago and so far have baked 4 loaves, three white and one wholemeal and have made dough and baked small french bagettes in the oven.
I absoloutly love fresh bread and have found this breadmaker easy to use and my first attempt, although a little uneven, tasted great. My advice is take the loaf tin out the machine, add the ingrediants as specified by the recipe, shake the ingrediants slightly before placing the tin back in the machine to level the ingrdients before ... Have considered a Bread maker for a long time but thought it would end up like the food processor, Zyliss et al in the bottom of the cupboard ~ a once seemingly good idea. We bought the Panasonic SD 255 on a friend's recommendation. We have tried every variation of bread mixes from Tesco to Asda, to Wrights to Hovis. Every loaf is usually eaten in one sitting because the bread/crust/colour/warmth/smell/ is so inviting, and the bread taste, texture and consistency is always excellent. Instructions are as ...
