I enjoyed watching the TV series and have enjoyed watching the programmes again on DVD. Well presented, I love the glimpse of life in the kitchen up at the big house!
Quite fascinating and some of the cookery tips are still quite valid.

With a collection of around 1500 dvds of all genres this is by far one of the most enjoyable and relaxing to watch that I have. I saw this series on television when it first came out and was enchanted by it. I watched all eight episodes when I got home from work last night and dearly wish that they had continued the series, even if that had meant I'd not gotten any sleep at all! This is just perfect......How hard the servants worked what delightful food and such hard work to make it delightful.Such a shame that the Ruth Mott's of this world are getting few and far between,thank goodness for this fantastic series.We can still have some of the history alive.Should be shown to school children to show how easy there life really is.
