1982 was a year of superb close action racing, of ground effect and of terrible tradegy. Its nice to know that formula one today is so much safer, that aside I dont believe modern formula one gives you the overtaking or race action that you had from this period. I love seeing the legends of Lauda, Prost and Piquet not to mention Mansell, Pironi and Rosberg (the Champion) all battling wheel to wheel. This excellent video catches F1 at a terrible and turbulent time, when innovation had reached a point where things looked like spiralling out of control.
